Marinade Ingredients
½ cupfreshly squeezed lemon juice
¼ cupapple cider vinegar
3 tablespoonolive oil
5cloves garlic
minced
1 teaspoonground cloves
1 teaspoonsalt
1 teaspoonall spice
½ teaspoonground cumin
½ teaspoonground cardamon
½ teaspoonground cinnamon
¼ teaspoonground fenugreek seeds
¼ teaspoonground ginger

Instructions
Step 1
Mix the spices along with the lemon juice, olive oil and apple cider vinegar in a bowl and whisk for a couple of minutes.

Cut the beef into strips about 3-4 inches in length and at least 1/2 inch in thickness will allow for the beef to stay juicy when you cook it.

In a bowl, rub the meat with the marinade, cover and let marinate for 1 to 2 hours maximum.

When ready to cook, transfer to a bottom-heavy saucepan and cook until beef is cooked though, about 8-10 minutes.

Or you may put it in an over tray, cover with aluminum foil and bake it in preheated oven 160C for 15 minutes covered and another 5 minutes uncovered.

Note: You’ll notice that the meat will look very tender and almost cooked, so it really doesn’t need a long time to fully cook.

Assemble the beef shawarma with Lebanese Bread, by putting the beef, sliced tomato, garnish with mixture of (onion, chopped parsley and sumac), pickles then drizzle the tahini sauce over it.

In a small bowl, whisk the the Tahini paste, crushed garlic, lemon juice and salt, mix well then add gradually add the water while mixing until you get the sauce as per the required consistency.
