mixed with one teaspoon of water
1 ¼ cupwhite rice

2 ½ cupschicken broth
Instructions
Step 1
Heat one tablespoon of peanut oil in a large, heavy dutch oven over medium heat.
Step 2
Season the sausage and chicken pieces with cajun seasoning.
Step 3
Saute sausage until browned. Remove with slotted spoon, set aside.
Step 4
Add 1 tablespoon peanut oil, and saute chicken pieces until lightly browned on all sides. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Step 5
In the same pot, saute onion, bell pepper, celery and garlic until tender.
Step 6
Stir in crushed tomatoes, and season with red pepper flakes, black pepper, salt, hot pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce and corn starch mixed with water.
Step 7
Stir in chicken and sausage. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 8
Stir in the rice and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed.
