Instructions

Step 1
Slice the onions in half then into thin strips and put in a bowl and add the lemon juice and toss them around
Step 2
Finely dice the chilli and coriander
Step 3
Mix it all together
Step 4
Heat an inch of oil in a deep pan to 180C
Step 5
Take out a lump of the onion mix and squeeze it into a ball - this will get messy but do it. Will make approx 12 small onion bhajis
Step 6
Drop into the hot oil and repeat a couple more times. Fry in batches so the oil doesn’t get too cold
Step 7
Fry for 5-6 minutes, flipping halfway through
Step 8
Pull out and drain on kitchen roll before serving
