½ cupsugar
2eggs
large, room temperature
2 tspvanilla
½ cupmilk

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F
Step 2
Butter a small cake pan and line bottom with parchment. Dust pan with flour. Tap out any excess.
Step 3
Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and cardamom in a medium bowl. Set aside.
Step 4
In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugar until pale and fluffy, approximately 3-4 minutes.
Step 5
Add in eggs. Mix. Then add vanilla. Mix.
Step 6
Incorporate the flour mixture and milk in batches of three. Alternate between mixing in flour and mixing in milk until just blended and smooth.
Step 7
Pour batter into prepared cake pan. Bake 27-34 minutes until lightly golden on top and a toothpick comes out clean. Let cake cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
Step 8
Make glaze: combine all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until smooth. If glaze is too thick, add more milk 1 tbsp at a time. Add more powdered sugar as needed if glaze is too runny.
Step 9
When cake is fully cooled, pour glaze over top and let set, approximately 10 minutes.
