Instructions
Step 1
Cook chopped bacon in a pot over medium heat until done, but not too crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Step 2
While bacon is draining, saute the onion in the same pot until translucent.
Step 3
Add to the pot the Bourbon, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, water, cayenne, cinnamon, and black pepper and simmer.
Step 4
Add the drained bacon back to the pot with the other ingredients and allow to simmer a few more minutes to combine the flavors.
Step 5
Add all ingredients to a food processor and pulse until smooth.
