Instructions

Step 1
Add the olive oil to a skillet and place it over medium heat. Once hot, add the garlic and cook for a minute. (No fresh garlic? Skip this step and add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder on top of crushed tomatoes/tomato sauce with the Italian Seasoning)
Step 2
Add the ground turkey/beef/Italian Sausage and break apart using a rubber spatula. Cook for 4-5 minutes, until no longer pink.
Step 3
Use 1 cup shredded cheese (use your favorite blends or just mozzarella) to just cover the bottom of a 9x9 pan (I use a 9 inch metal pie pan). Save whatever is left over for the top.
Step 4
Place pan in Air Fryer at 375 degrees for 5 minutes or until browned.
Step 5
Spread crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce over the browned cheese in the pan and sprinkle Italian Seasoning on top.
Step 6
Add the rest of the ingredients in order. Make sure to put the rest of the 1 cup shredded cheese and the 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese on top to weigh down the pepperoni. While watching the pepperoni fly around the air fryer is amusing, it isn't as amusing to clean up.
Step 7
Place in Air Fryer at 375 degrees for 5 minutes or until the cheese on top is browned.
Step 8
Remove pan from air fryer and slice into four portions. Serve and enjoy.
