Step 1
Set 3 bowls of water to the stove
Step 2
Add chopped carrots as the water starts to heat up, bring to boil

Add 3 heaping spoons of sichuan paste (brand in the picture) and few sichuan peppercorns (tingly sensation, beware!). Also add 2 tsp of gochujang to the water as it heats up
Step 4
Allow to come to boil
Step 5
Add in spinach towards the end and let cook
Step 6
In the last few minutes, add in silken tofu blocks. The brand in the picture is the one I prefer
Step 7
This recipe is all about the right proportion of the paste, and water for your preferred soup strength.
