Instructions
Step 1
Bring a large pot of water to a boil

(enough water to cover meat)
Step 3
Boil Pork Neck Bones for a full 5 minutes
Step 4
Remove from heat, discard water and rinse well
Step 5
Start a new pot with 8 Qt. Water

Add parboiled Pork into the pot

Bring to a simmer
Step 8
In a large bowl, add Jasmine and Short Grain Rice

Rinse at least 3 times, strain excess water

Heat a large pan on medium heat

Add a couple Tbsp of Vegetable Oil

Add in the rinsed rice

Stir and toast rice for about 5-10 minutes

Occasionally drizzle in more oil as needed to prevent it from sticking

Add toasted rice to the pot

Peel Ginger, cut in half, smash lightly

Peel whole Onion

Add both Ginger and Onion to pot

Add in seasoning listed above

Bring to a simmer

Skim any foam you see

Cover with lid

Simmer on med-low for at least an hour

Occasionally stir the bottom of pot to prevent the rice from sticking to the pot

After an hour of simmering

Remove lid, taste. add more seasoning if needed
