Pickled Onions Do you like pickled onions as much as we do? I shared Beef boti recipe and I served Pickle onions with that recipe. And tbh my husband always like fermented veggies with main meal. So we always have loads of stock in fridge but when everyone requested the pickled onion recipe.Give me a thought to share this quick and easy recipe with you all.These are crispy and tangy. These pickled onions are the perfect condiment for bbqs, sandwiches, tacos, burgers, salads, and more.

Instructions

Step 1
Take red onion and thinly slice. i used mandolin slicer for even slices.Fill the air tight jar with sliced onions.
Step 2
Place the garlic and peppercorns in a jar. (You can skip garlic and peppercorns and use sliced green chillies if you like bit of heat) .
Step 3
In a saucepan pour equal parts of the vinegar& water, add sugar, and salt . Over medium heat, stir until the sugar and salt dissolve. Bring to boil about a minute.
Step 4
Pour over onions and bring it to room temperature. After store in refrigerator.
Step 5
Pickled onions will be ready in 6 hours but more you leave, the deeper the colour you get. They will keep fresh in the fridge for up to 2 -3 weeks.
