Instructions

Step 1
Boil a kettle
Step 2
Heat a large, wide-based pan (preferably non-stick) with a drizzle of vegetable oil over a medium-high heat
Step 3
Trim, then slice the spring onions finely (chop them in one bunch for speed!)
Step 4
Once hot, add the diced chicken to the pan and cook for 5-6 min
Step 5
While the chicken is cooking, add the sugar snap peas and mangetout to a large bowl and cover them in boiled water until fully submerged
Step 6
Set aside to soften
Step 7
In a small bowl combine the soy sauce, honey and dried chilli flakes (can't handle the heat? Go easy!) – this is your teriyaki sauce
Step 8
Squeeze the pouch of steamed white basmati rice to separate the grains
Step 9
Tear the top corner of the pouch (just a little!) and put the pouch in the microwave for 2 min or until piping hot
Step 10
Add the teriyaki sauce and half the sliced spring onion (save some for garnish!) to the pan
Step 11
Cook for 3-4 min further or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly – this is your teriyaki chicken
Step 12
Once the sauce has thickened, drain the sugar snaps and mangetout and return to the bowl
Step 13
Add the toasted sesame oil and sesame seeds and give everything a good mix up – these are your sesame greens
Step 14
Serve the teriyaki chicken with the heated basmati rice, and the sesame greens on the side
Step 15
Garnish with the remaining spring onion
Step 16
Enjoy!
