Step 1
Finely chop onion, tomato, green chilli, and corriander.

Take 1 cup of besan. (This will make around 3-4 thin, medium-sized chillas).

(optional) Add 1 tbsp rice flour, for a crisp texture of the chilla.

To the besan-rice flour mix, add red chilli powder, cumin powder, salt, and hing. Mix well.

Add water (roughly in 1:2 ratio for besan:water) and the chopped veggies. Mix well to ensure that there are no lumps formed. The batter should have a watery consistency, as shown in the picture.

Heat a pan over the stove, and add some oil. Spread the oil on the pan with a tissue.

Once the pan has heated, pour the batter on the pan and twirl the pan around to spread it evenly over the pan. Sprinkle some more oil at the sides and in the middle of the chilla so that it doesn't stick to the pan.
Step 8
Flip the chilla around to the other side. Press down on the chilla gently so the veggies on the other side get cooked well.
Step 9
Flip it around once again, and serve hot.
