Step 1
one-pot soup. pour oil into a pot and fry finely chopped shallots and carrots in it until golden brown

add tomato paste and spices and simmer a little while constantly stirring

pour about 1 litre of hot water, add peeled diced potatoes and washed lentils

stir and bring to a boil, then cover with a lid and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are ready

remove from the heat and puree the soup with a blender. serve with a drizzle of lemon juice, fresh cilantro and mixed seeds
