Sri Lankan style mackerel Curry

Instructions

Prepare all ingredients

Put rice to cook while preparing curry

Cut onion and tomato separately
Step 4
Prepare coconut milk from coconut powder approximately 1/4 of a cup
Step 5
Prepare tamarind water, put tamarind in to the 1.5 - 2 cups of warm water (based on thickness the you desire) and squash the tamarind until unsquash pieces left (remove those away)

Put oil in the wok or pan, and fry onion until brown
Step 7
Add tomato, turmeric, chili powder, salt, garamasala, mix everything well
Step 8
Add tamarind water. mix it well and let it boil
Step 9
Add mackerel with mackerel water and mix it well let it boil
Step 10
Add coconut milk and mix it again and let it boil
Step 11
Sprinkle pepper on top, turn off the cooker and let it boil
Step 12
Serve the rice with curry on top
