Instructions
Step 1
Soak the Chickpeas for at least 24hrs
Step 2
Add chickpeas, herbs, onion, garlic, spices and salt & pepper to a food processor and pulse until the mixture is finely ground. Do not add the Baking Powder or Sesame seeds or Nigella seeds yet.
Step 3
Refrigerate the falafel mixture into a bowl and let it rest overnight. This will hold the mixture together better, making it easier to form falafel patties.
Step 4
Remove from the fridge and add the baking powder and sesame and nigella seeds.
Step 5
Form patties or balls
Step 6
Fry the falafel on medium to high heat in coconut oil by lowering each falafel into the oil once it is hot.
Step 7
Brown the falafel
