Lebanese manoushe is a Flatbread equivalent to Italian pizza, but slathered with a variety of aromatic herbs, mixed with veggies, and this recipe is the favorite one for the chili lovers.

Ingredients

2tomato
medium, finely chopped and well drained juice
1onion
medium, finely chopped
1garlic clove
minced
1Red Bell pepper
small, finely chopped
2 teaspoonsesame seeds
2 teaspoonchili paste
salt
to taste
1 teaspoonsmoked paprika
1 teaspoonthyme
chopped
For the dough
Instructions
Step 1
Knead the dough components together until it becomes a coherent dough, cut it to an equal sized balls, cover it with a towel and leave it to rest in a warm place for half an hour.
Step 2
In a skillet put olive oil and Sauté onion with little salt until wilted, add the garlic, bell pepper, tomato and sauté for 5 minutes then set to cool down completely.
Step 3
While the filling mixture is cooling down, on floured surface, roll out the dough balls into 15 to 20 cm in diameter. Place on prepared baking sheet.
Step 4
Take an amount of the filling and place on the dough and spread out thinly but enough so the dough is fully covered, then sprinkle generously the sesame seeds on top.
Step 5
Bake in an oven at a temperature of 180 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
Step 6
Serve it hot with lemon wedges aside, and yogurt.
