2 lbsground beef

3 packsandouille sausage

3 Tbspbacon drippings

16 ozcans tomato sauce

1 x 14.5 ozcan stewed tomatoes
chopped

1 Tbspsoy sauce

3 cupswater

1 cupdry white wine

1 tsplemon juice

2onions
chopped course

1green pepper
belle, chopped

1red pepper
belle, chopped

1can pinto beans
smashed

2 tspgarlic
chopped

1 tspdried mint

1 Tbspdried parsley

5 Tbspchili powder

2 ½ tspsalt

1 tspcayenne pepper

3 Tbspbrown sugar

1 lbcrawfish tails
optional, if adding, use only 4 links sausage
Instructions
Step 1
Brown ground beef in bacon drippings.
Step 2
Add onions, garlic, belle peppers, mint, chili powder, salt and cayenne pepper and simmer to wilt vegetables.
Step 3
Add tomato sauce, canned tomatoes, wine, lemon juice, soy sauce, water, brown sugar and sausage.
Step 4
Bring mixture to a boil and simmer for about 30 minutes.
Step 5
Add dried parsley, smashed beans and crawfish and simmer for 1-2 hours (or until mixture is wilted and thickened to taste).
Step 6
You may substitute 2 additional sausage links in place of crawfish tails for those who are not shellfish fans or if tails are not available.
Step 7
Serve with rice.
