Ingredients

1onion
chopped fine
4garlic cloves
minced
1 tablespoonextra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoonextra virgin olive oil
½ teaspoondried oregano
⅛ tspred pepper flakes
8 cupslow sodium chicken broth
1 x 15 ozcan tomato sauce
1 cupgreat northern beans
or cannellini
2carrots
cut into 1/2 inch pieces
½ cuppasta

salt
pepper
1zucchini
quartered lengthwise and sliced 1/4 inch thick
8 ozswiss chard
sliced 1/2 inch thick
½ cupfresh basil
shopped
grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
Step 1
Microwave onion, garlic, 1 tablespoon oil, oregano, and pepper flakes, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Add to slow cooker
Step 2
stir in broth, tomato sauce, beans, and carrots (Green beans too if using them). Cover and cook until beans are tender, 8-10 hours on high.
Step 3
Meanwhile, boil 2 quarts water & 1.5 teaspoons salt and cook pasta, stirring often, until al dente. Rinse with cold water, toss with a little oil to keep from sticking.
Step 4
Stir in zucchini and chard and cover, cooking on high 20-30 minutes. Stir in pasta and let heat, 5 minutes. Stir in basil and season with salt, pepper, and parmesan.
