Sticky Rice Meatballs

I used purple sweet potato powder for coloring the rice, and It came out pretty. Great appetizer for a party! Serve with garlic chili oil or ponzu would be great. Meatball
1 lbground pork
1egg
2 Tbspsake
1 tspumami powder
organic
2 tspsalt
1 tspsesame oil
5Dried shitake mushroom
soaked in water, chopped
2green onions
chopped
¼ cupbamboo shoot
chopped
3 Tbsppotato starch
1 Tbspgarlic minced
1 Tbspginger
minced
For Serving
Instructions
Step 1
In a medium bowl, add water and purple potato powder, and mix well.
Step 2
Add sweet rice, and let it soak for a few hours. Drain the water well, and place it in a bowl.
Step 3
Meanwhile, In a large bowl, add meatball ingredients and mix well.
Step 4
Use a spoon and make meatballs.
Step 5
Coat meat balls with sweet rice.
Step 6
Place a cooking sheet in the steamer, place the rice-covered meatballs, and steam for about 15 - 20 minutes.
Step 7
Put S&B Crunchy Garlic with Chili Oil on top for serving. (Optional). Serve with ponzu sauce.
