Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375.

Step 2
In a large skillet, brown ground beef and sausage over medium high heat. Drain fat.

Step 3
Mix Prego and meat in a large bowl and set aside. Avoid getting the mix “soupy”. You can reserve some sauce for later.

Step 4
Stir egg into container of cottage cheese.

Step 5
Spray 9x13 pan with non-stick cooking spray. Cover bottom of pan with a single layer of lasagna noodles. You’ll likely need to break some noodles to get the end of the pan covered, and overlap the noodles just a smidge.

Step 6
With a spoon, spread a thin layer of cottage cheese over the noodles, then a layer of the meat/sauce mixture over the cottage cheese. Repeat twice more until you get to the top of your dish. You may have a few noodles left unused.

Step 7
Pour some of your reserved sauce to make sure no bare noodles are showing.

Step 8
Cover with shredded cheese. Cover your dish loosely with foil ( you don’t want the foil to touch the cheese - try to tent the foil a bit). ** if you’re looking to cut some calories, you could easily use 8 oz instead of 16, but this is “vacation” lasagna…

Step 9
Bake lasagna for 50 minutes. Remove foil from dish, then bake 5 more minutes to brown cheese. Let sit about 5 minutes after removing from oven to make slicing easier. The cheese will be ooey-gooey delicious!

Step 10
Enjoy! We love to add shredded parmesan on top and have garlic bread with it. Great as leftovers!
