Ingredients

2 clovesgarlic

1 cupshiitake mushrooms
sliced
0.5jalapeno
sliced, use more or less depending on how spicy you like it
1 tablespoonolive oil
1carrot
chopped
1rib celery
chopped
2 inchginger
chunk, peeled
2.5 quartswater
½ cupcilantro leaves
loosely packed
1 cupspinach
1 teaspoonsea salt
0.5juice of lemon
1 teaspoonspirulina
3 headsbaby bok choy
1 bunchbeet greens
Instructions
Step 1
Sauté onions, garlic, jalapeño and mushrooms together in olive oil until they are soft.
Step 2
Combine carrots, celery, ginger, and water in a pot, bring to a boil, and then simmer 45 minutes.
Step 3
Turn off heat, strain liquid.
Step 4
Combine broth with sautéed mushroom mixture, cilantro, spinach, lemon juice, sea salt, and spirulina.
Step 5
Allow the carryover heat of your broth to cook the cilantro and spinach.
Step 6
Ladle into bowls or mugs and enjoy the spicy aroma of this fabulous gut-healing broth.
