Step 1
Preheat oven to 400

Step 2
Season chicken on both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning
Step 3
Dredge each chicken breast in flour and tap off excess, then dip in egg and let drip off, then dredge both sides in bread crumbs

Heat oil over high heat until almost smoking.
Step 5
Add chicken breasts to oil and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side
Step 6
Line bottom of baking tray with marinara, then place chicken in. Add slices of mozzarella to each, then top with marinara.
Step 7
Top with shredded mozzarella and grated parmesean
Step 8
Bake 5-7 minutes
