Instructions
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey or chicken, rolled oats, egg, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix well until ingredients are evenly distributed.
Step 2
Form the mixture into four parties of equal size.
Step 3
Preheat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium high heat.
Step 4
Lightly coat the pan with cooking spray.
Step 5
Add the patties to the pan and cook for five minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
Step 6
Toast the whole grain hamburger buns and set aside.
Step 7
Assemble the burger by placing a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and a slice of avocado on the bottom half of each bun.
Step 8
Add the cooked patty on top of the avocado, and then add the red onion slices on top of the patty.
Step 9
Add the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
