One Pan Shrimp with Buttery Orzo, Asparagus & Dill - building flavour along the way in one pan…
These. Flavours. Are. Nuts. Because you’re cooking everything in the same pan, you’re really maximizing on your flavour game here. Easy clean up, super tasty dish = winner dinner 🍽 ✅
Ingredients ⬇️ (serves 2 people)
3/4-1 lb shrimp, raw & deveined
1 bunch asparagus
1 shallot, minced
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 knobs of butter
1 cup orzo
1/3 cup white wine
2 cups veg/chicken stock
1/4 cup parmesan, grated
Zest and juice of a lemon
Fresh dill
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation ⬇️
1. Pat dry your shrimp (I used the raw, red Argentinian shrimp from
) and season with salt and pepper on both sides
2. Add butter to medium heat pan and sear for 30 seconds on each side - place to the side (you don’t want to over cook here)
3. Chop asparagus into thirds and throw into same pan - sautée for 2-3 min (or until desired tenderness) and then place to the side
4. Add a touch more butter if you need, and then throw in minced shallots, garlic, sautée for 1 min
5. Add orzo, stir, toast for 1-2 min
6. Deglaze with white wine, stock, and stir occasionally for 5-10 min until all liquid is absorbed and orzo is al dente (add more liquid if needed)
7. Finish with Parmesan, lemon zest and juice, dill
