Instructions
Step 1
Brown the meat in a skillet (about 2-3 minutes). Remove the meat from the pot.
Step 2
Add in the onion and garlic to the empty pot and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Step 3
Remove the skillet from the heat and add the chili powder, oregano, and cumin to the onions and garlic, mixing it together.
Step 4
Then, add in the tomato paste and the beef stock, mixing the ingredients thoroughly before adding the meat back in.
Step 5
Add salt and pepper to taste (about 1 teaspoon each). Bring to a boil, stirring once or twice.
Step 6
Cover the pot and turn heat to low, letting the mixture simmer for 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours.
Step 7
Add the kidney beans 15 minutes before serving.
