large, or white, quartered

1 pinchsalt

1 pinchblack pepper

1 tablespoonolive oil
sunflower oil and vegetable oil are ok too

1onion
peeled, halved and thinly sliced

3 clovesgarlic
peeled & crushed or finely grated

1 teaspoonground turmeric

1 teaspoonground cumin

½ teaspoonchilli powder
more if you like heat, this curry is more spiced than hot

400gtin chopped tomatoes
then half fill the empty tin with water and add that too

3 tablespoonsbalti paste

3 tablespoonsmango chutney

2 tablespoonstomato puree

1 pinchsalt
