One Pan Pesto Chicken Bake Recipe

FANTASTIC

After looking at the previous comments I used chicken breast and asparagus insted of chicken fillets and green beans. It turned out great! I also used a little bit less pesto (just a personal preference). Everything cooked nicely. Chicken was very juicy.

Not an accurate recipe, but when is a one-pot actually a one-pot? Would recommend roasting the potatoes separately, brining the chicken for 15 mins before roasting, and using less amount of potatoes.

next time, instead of tomatoes, we will use artichoke hearts and olives.

Very flavorful. I substituted asparagus instead of the green beans. And added some parmesan cheese sprinkled over the asparagus and cherry tomatoes. So good!!!

I used whole chicken breasts, and the meat came out moist and tender.

Microwave green beans and potatoes first to soften them. Chicken is slightly dry but not terrible. Overall, good flavor and easy to make!

Chiken was extremely dry, everything else was fine

I did the potatoes in the microwave prior to baking and next time I'll do the same for the beans. I did 15 min at 400 degrees for the chicken prior to adding potatoes, beans and tomatoes. I combined the potatoes, beans, and tomatoes at the same time and baked at 350 for 10 minutes.

Very good recipe. Put the potatoes first with some olive oil, thyme, salt and pepper for 20min. Then put the potatoes on the side and the chicken mixed with the pesto in the middle. On the side I put the green beans with a drizzle of olive oil and a lot of salt and pepper. Then added a circle of cherry tomatoes around the Dutch oven. After another 30min came out all cooked and very tasty.

We put the green beans in at the same time as the chicken and baked with lemon slices on top of the chicken. Really yummy!

Loved this recipe and so easy to make

This was really good! Used red potatoes cut into quarters and seasoned with Lawrys seasoning salt and oil. Baked for 20 minutes at 400 F. Added the chicken, tomatoes, and green beans at the same time as others suggested and used one jar of pesto, salt and pepper, and Parmesan cheese. Baked for another 20 min. Came out perfect! Would definitely make again!

Delicious and fast. Used a red pepper instead of the tomatoes. Roasted the potatoes for 15 minutes, then added the chicken and red peppers and roasted 15 more minutes. I cooked green beans on the side because I didn't want everything to be covered in the pesto and roasted. Will make again for sure.

Added courgette instead of green beans, but would add aubergine, peppers and onion if I made again.

Once I got it cooked all the way through, it was pretty good for a weeknight or a batch-dish. I think the only error was something wrong with my oven, so if the stated time and temperature work for you, give it a go.

My potatoes struggled to cook and even though I gave the green beans an extra 10 minutes, I think they could've gone longer....but, overall, delicious and I will definitely make it again...I did add a pinch of garlic and feta cheese!

Super easy and delicious one pot meal! I left the pesto off the potatoes and just seasoned them with olive oil, rosemary, salt and pepper.

I made the components separately because I noticed others had issues with the cook time, and it turned out great! I cubed the chicken for faster cooking.

Make the whole thing in a Dutch oven. So start by searing the chicken then setting it aside. Then add the potatoes and follow instructions, tweeking cook times as needed.

The green beans were completely undercooked, I prefer mine tender. Flavor was good though. I added a little minced garlic and some Italian seasoning. Next time I'll add the green beans when I add the potatoes.

This was really simple & tasty. Would have been even easier w/ store bought pesto & pre-cut chicken. But cheaper doing it at home. The green beans were undercooked even after adding time, but I kinda liked the crunch ;)

Didn't realize the recipe was in Celsius, and so it took a bit longer than expected. Even with that hiccup, it turned out great! Would absolutely make this again.

Very tasty. The cooking times are questionable, I would suggest longer to ensure the chicken is thoroughly cooked.

This was really good, kids went back for seconds but if I made it again I wouldn’t put the tomatoes….. They didn’t have a place and didn’t go with the flavor.

I added slightly more pesto than the recipe stated and a squeeze of lemon juice at the last 10 mins. I also used diced chicken to ensure everything cooked evenly.

After reading the reviews and I used some of the suggestions. I added Lawrys salt and I put green beans in when I added the chicken. I topped with Parmesan cheese. My whole family liked it.

Beans need 15+ more minutes in the oven!

Kinda boring. Needed lots of salt. I swapped potatoes for butternut squash. Edible but not much to write home about. Your dish will NOT look like the pic in the recipe unless you rearrange in a fresh platter and un-cook the tomatoes. 🤣

Really good. Would add feta and black olives.

Doubled the ingredients and had to pull chicken out and cook separately halfway through, because my pan wasn’t big enough for all the extra food. STILL was delicious.

Sub zucchini and yellow squash for potatoes.

I don't like pasta al pesto. But this was a totally new experience for me. I was very surprised that i iked it very much!

Great basic recipe. Turned a bit dry. I will whip up a ricotta and lemon sauce next time to add more flavor.

We added zesty lemon seasoning to it!! It was fantastic. We ate it with french bread. Delicious.

Fine. Very "mid" as the kids say. I did find that the temperature listed wasn't really enough to cook the potatoes properly. Chicken breasts also very dry, thighs would have been a better option. The pesto doesn't really do much on its own, might be better developed as a dressing.

Super easy, one tray and a chopping board for this. I doubled the pesto and added the beans in with the chicken as other comments have stated. A great dish when you can't be bothered putting much effort in but you still end up with a tasty meal.

So good! Next time I'll put the green beans in with the chicken bc they were a bit underdone. I also shaved 5 minutes off the potatoes being in on their own.

Truly a one pot dish, not a one pot, plus a measuring jug, plus a colander, plus measuring spoons, plus a hundred bowls to hold prepped ingredients. Just a baking tray and a chopping board. The potatoes and chicken were cooked perfectly (I used mock chicken so cooked it for 5 minutes less). I added minced garlic and dried oregano and dried basil to the potatoes. The amount of ingredients has a lot of leeway and won't spoil the flavour or cooking time, I didn't weigh out a thing and just used a jar of pesto. Only thing I would change is that I would put the green beans and tomatoes in 5 mins earlier. My mom loved them but I'd like the beans a bit softer and the toms a bit crispy.

Tastes good but the cooking times are all wrong. Small potatoes do NOT take an hour to cook in an oven. Forty minutes max. Twenty minutes for the chicken and tomatoes is spot on. Don’t cook green beans in the oven just to make this a one pot dish. If you want to roast a vegetable make it something substantial like a carrot and put it in at the same time as the potatoes. If you want beans, cook them the normal way.

So good! I added more pesto and added the tomatoes and green beans when I added the chicken to the pan and it was amazing

very savory & easy to prepare! i added some red onions along with the chicken and it gave it a lot more flavor, this will be my new go-to meal for busy weekdays.

Put the potatoes and tomatoes in the oven first as husband and I like reduced tomatoes. Chicken, pesto and greens beans all went together in the second round. Very tasty!

The green beans needed another 10 minutes and the potatoes were done 10 minutes earlier (I cut them in half) and I used double the pesto.

Great recipe, pretty easy to follow even if you're substituting ingredients. I ended up using vegan meat instead and it's super tasty.

I've made this twice now. It is delicious! I would suggest cooking the beans a bit longer however. I normally don't like grape tomatoes but the acidic explosion perfectly balanced the pesto.
