Followed recipe as written except for leaving all the butter beans whole. Also, added the fresh basil and fresh Italian parsley with lemon zest during the last two minutes of simmering in the soup pot. Added freshly grated Parmesan cheese to each bowl before serving with a warmed baguette. Wonderful flavor! Will become a regular in our home.
