Instructions
Step 1
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to boil. Add ziti and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain and rinse.
Step 2
Brown onions and ground meat until onion is tender and meat is fully cooked.
Step 3
In a medium bowl, mix ziti, ricotta cheese, half of left-over mozzarella cheese, eggs and 1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce.
Step 4
Add the rest of the spaghetti sauce to the cooked meat and mix thoroughly.
Step 5
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Step 6
Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and spoon in half ziti mixture. Top with half of meat sauce, followed by Parmesan cheese and a cup of mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers once more until everything is used.
Step 7
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes; let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
