Instructions

Step 1
Heat oil on pot and sauté onion until translucent
Step 2
Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant
Step 3
And turmeric, parsley, and All-spice with a dab of water (so as not to burn the spices)
Step 4
Add rinsed basmati rice and stir, then add the water
Step 5
Add salt and red pepper flakes, let the water come to a boil and cook covered for 15 minutes
Step 6
Turn down the heat to a simmer and cover the lid with a towel so steam doesn’t escape and let it simmer for 15 minutes
