Ingredients

1 lbground beef
2shallots
diced
4cloves garlic
minced
2thai chiles
thinly sliced
1 cupThai basil leaves
1 Tbspfish sauce
1 Tbspsoy sauce
to taste
½ Tbspoyster sauce
1 tsppalm sugar
2 Tbspsesame oil
1lime
juiced and zested
1egg
Sesame seeds
or peanuts, for garnish
red bell pepper
diced
ginger
grated
cherry tomatoes
0.5 Tbspdark soy sauce
to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Heat 1 Tbsp sesame oil in pan. Add ground beef and cook, breaking up meat, until browned and cooked through, 5-7 minutes. Remove beef from pan and set aside.
Step 2
Add shallots, garlic, and chiles to hot pan. Stir fry 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Step 3
If using, add red pepper and stir fry 2 more minutes.
Step 4
Return beef to pan and add fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, palm sugar, and lime juice/zest. Stir well to combine.
Step 5
Add Thai basil and stir fry just until wilted, about 1 minute.
Step 6
Remove pan from heat.
Step 7
Heat 1 Tbsp sesame oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. When oil is hot, crack egg into pan and fry until edges are crispy and white is cooked, about 2 minutes.
Step 8
Top beef mixture with fried egg. Garnish with sesame seeds/peanuts before serving. Enjoy!
