Step 1
Start by making the mayo: add the egg yolk, salt, vinegar and mustard to a cup and with an immersion blender very slowly add the oil while blending. You can optionally just use store bought mayo but this version is of course better!
Step 2
Chop the shallot and onion as thinly as possible. You can pulse in a blender optionally.
Step 3
In a pan, add 1tbsp of oil followed by the spices. On medium heat let the mixture heat up and add the onion and shallot. Let it all incorporate for 2 minutes and remove from the heat
Step 4
Add the spiced mixture to the mayo alongside the ketchup. Mix it well and serve!
