Instructions
Step 1
Start by patting the salmon pieces dry with paper towels.
salmon fillet1 pound
Step 2
Cut the salmon into bite sized cubes.
Step 3
Place the salmon bites into a bowl.
Step 4
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, gochugaru and olive oil. Set this aside.
garlic powder1 Tbsp

salt½ tsp
black pepper½ tsp
paprika½ Tbsp
gochugaru1 tsp
olive oil1 Tbsp
Step 5
In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat.
olive oil1 tsp
Step 6
Add the salmon pieces to the skillet, placing them in a single layer. Cook the salmon for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice sear on the outside. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your salmon pieces.
Step 7
Remove the salmon pieces from the skillet, leaving the residual oil. Leave them on a plate while you prepare the gochujang butter sauce.
Step 8
To the same skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Once the butter is sizzling, add the minced garlic. Sauté the garlic for about 1 minute, or until it becomes fragrant and slightly golden. Be careful not to let it burn.

Step 9
Add the gochujang, honey, and vinegar to the garlic butter and heat it to a simmer. Stir continuously and cook until the mixture significantly reduces (3-4 minutes). You can check if the sauce has reduced by running a spatula across the skillet. It should leave a trail that remains visible for a few seconds. Turn off the heat.
