Instructions

Step 1
Spray a crock pot with nonstick spray.
Step 2
Add the potatoes and carrots.
Step 3
Melt the butter in a large skillet over high heat. Salt and pepper the roast to taste and sear on all sides. Add the roast to the crock pot.
Step 4
Sautee the onion in the skillet until golden brown, a couple of minutes. Add the onion to the crock pot.
Step 5
Mix all 3 seasoning packets into the water and mix to dissolve. Pour over the roast. Cook on low 7-8 hours or high 4 hours.
