Chicken Shawarma Pasta Bowl

If you love shawarma and you love pasta, this dish does NOT disappoint! It's so easy to make and a definite crowd pleaser. You can add as many or little vegetables as you like and make it your own. I like to make a BYOB (built your own bowl) station where everyone can custom add their favorite toppings and sauces and enjoy this masterpiece.

Ingredients

Chicken Marinade

2 lbsboneless skinless chicken thighs
sliced thin

2 Tbspolive oil

2cloves garlic
crushed

1 Tbspparsley
finely chopped

1 Tbspcilantro
finely chopped

1 Tbspcumin

1 Tbsppaprika

1 Tbsponion powder

0.5juice of lemon

1 tspwhite vinegar

2 tspsalt

2 tspblack pepper

½ tspcrushed red pepper
optional for spice
Garlic yogurt sauce

1 cupplain yogurt

2 Tbsptahini sauce

1clove garlic
crushed

1 Tbspparsley
finely chopped

0.5juice of lemon

2 Tbspmayonnaise

salt
to taste

pepper
to taste

Instructions
Step 1
Slice chicken thighs very thin and mix in with all ingredients listed in marinade section.













Step 2
Set aside for 20 minutes at room temp or an hour in the fridge. While it is marinating, prepare the garlic yogurt tahini sauce and boil the pasta.








Step 3
Prepare a large skillet by heating it up to a medium/ high heat to sear the chicken.
Step 4
Use nonstick spray or nonstick pan and place the chicken on the pan in lumps and spread it around. Do not overcrowd the chicken so they can get a nice sear and brown well.
Step 5
Cook the chicken for about 6 minutes per side and remove and set aside to cook more chicken in the pan.
Step 6
Repeat until all the chicken is cooked.
Step 7
Plate the pasta topped with the chicken and yogurt sauce. Garnish with any vegetables you like or enjoy as is!
