Instructions
Step 1
Boil 1 1/2 cups water. Add rice and stir. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 2
Note: Rice sticks to pan. Add butter first?
Step 3
In another saucepan, combine rice, 1 1/2 cups milk, sugar and salt.
Step 4
Cook over medium heat until thick and creamy, 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 5
Stir in remaining 1/2 cup milk, beaten egg and raisins.
Step 6
Cook 2 minutes more, stirring constantly.
Step 7
Remove from heat, and stir in butter and vanilla.
