Ingredients

1 blockfirm tofu
frozen then thawed for best results, and crumbled
2garlic cloves
minced
3 Tbspvegan oyster sauce
3 Tbsptamari sauce
or soy
1 ½ Tbspagave syrup
or maple
1 tspchinese five spice
¼ tspground pepper
1 ½ Tbspbrown sugar
½ Tbspsesame oil
4 Tbspwater
rice

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200 celsius.
Step 2
Add your crumbled tofu to a baking sheet, drizzle with the oil, and bake for about 20 minutes until crisp (check on it and stir periodically until it has reached your desired doneness, you could also do this in an air fryer).
Step 3
Meanwhile, mix the oyster sauce, tamari or soy sauce, agave or maple syrup, pepper, five spice, brown sugar, sesame oil, and water together in a small bowl to make the sauce.
Step 4
When the tofu is done, sauté the garlic until fragrant, then add the tofu, followed by the sauce mix.
Step 5
Stir and cook down until thick and sticky (depending on how much your tofu dried out while baking, you can add more water here to make it juicier), then serve immediately over rice with veggies, and top with spring onion and sesame seeds.
