KOREAN BRAISED TOFU (DOBU JORIM) 🍲
Another simple and easy tofu recipe that doesn’t disappoint. Again been around for a long time. Tofu is new to us it’s been loved for many over years.
Ingredients
1 block firm tofu
1 tbsp veg oil
1 tsp sesame oil
For the sauce:
Whites of spring onions (keep the greens for garnish)
3 garlic cloves
1 thumb piece ginger
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp gochugaru (Korean chilli powder)
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 cup water
Serve with rice and sesame seeds

Instructions
Step 1
Chop up all the ingredients that we need to braise the tofu and mix them together in a bowl. Pat dry the tofu and chop into slabs.
Step 2
Add the tofu to a non stick pan. Fry the tofu until golden brown, then add the sauce mixture, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 3
Meanwhile, cook the rice. When everything is cooked, serve with a garnish of spring onions and sesame seeds.
