1 ½ cupYogurt
2 TbspGinger
crushed
garlic
green chilies
Salt

1 TbspKashmiri Red Chilli Powder
1 TbspChilli Powder
1 TbspGaram Masala Powder
1 TbspCoriander Powder
1 TbspCumin Powder
1 tspTurmeric Powder
¼ tspCarom Seeds
2 TbspDried Fenugreek Leaves
¼ cupMustard Oil
3 TbspLemon Juice
Instructions
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, crushed ginger, garlic, and chilies.
Step 2
Add salt, Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder, Chilli Powder, Garam Masala Powder, Coriander Powder, Cumin Powder, Turmeric Powder, Carom Seeds, Dried Fenugreek Leaves, Mustard Oil, and Lemon Juice to the bowl. Mix well to make a smooth marinade.
Step 3
Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and coat them well. Make sure all the chicken pieces are covered with the marinade.
Step 4
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and let the chicken marinate for 3-4 hours in the refrigerator. This will allow the flavors to penetrate the chicken and make it tender.
Step 5
After marinating, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or preheat the grill or air fryer.
Step 6
Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers. You can use metal or bamboo skewers. If using bamboo skewers, make sure to soak them in water for 30 minutes before threading the chicken to prevent burning.
Step 7
If using the oven, place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes or until it's cooked through and slightly charred.
Step 8
If using the grill, place the skewers directly on the grill grates. Grill the chicken for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until it's cooked through and has a nice char.
Step 9
If using an air fryer, place the skewers in the air fryer basket. Air fry the chicken at 400°F (200°C) for 15-18 minutes or until it's cooked through and has a crispy exterior.
Step 10
Once cooked, remove the skewers from the oven, grill, or air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes.
Step 11
Serve the Chicken Tikka Skewers hot with mint chutney, onion slices, and lemon wedges.
