Instructions

Sauteed onions

Step 1
Dice the onion.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a pan. Leave the heat on medium. Add the onion and fry for about 3min until translucent.

Add 2tbsp of water and fry for another 2-3min.
Step 4
Repeat the step 3 multiple times until the onions turn brown. This process can take up to 15-20min.

Finally season with salt and pepper.

Cheese crackers

Heat the pan. Leave the heat on medium. Add the emmental cheese to one side and the cheddar cheese to the other side.

Let the cheese melt for about 3-5min until crispy.

Burger patties

Divide the meat into 2 equal balls.

Heat the oil in the pan. Leave the heat on medium high. Add the meat balls and press flat with a spatula or burger press. Season with half the salt and pepper. Fry for about 2min.

Flip the patties and season again. Fry for another 2min.

Burger

Cut the burger bun in half. Roast both halves in the same pan in which you fried the meat.

Cut the salad into small stripes.

Spread the bottom bread half with the mayonnaise.

Top it with the salad, burger patty, cheese cracker, the other burger patty and cheese cracker.

Finish off with the sautéed onions.

Stack the other burger bun half on top and enjoy!
