Step 1
In a bowl, put 3 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 tablespoons cooking wine (or mirim), 4 tablespoons oligosaccharide (or honey), 1 teaspoon ginger juice, and a bit pepper.
Step 2
Remove moisture from the tofu well with kitchen towels.
Step 3
Cut it into appropriate sizes. Cut it into cube shapes. Coat each piece of tofu with corn starch.
Step 4
Add about 2-3 tablespoons of oil to a pan. Place the tofu in the pan. Cook over medium heat until golden brown. Flip them over when they are golden brown. Once the tofu is golden browned, pour the pre-made seasoning sauce over it.
Step 5
Add a little bit of finely chopped bell pepper. Turn off the heat and add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds. Chewy and savory braised tofu is done!
