Step 1
Boil the meat in boiling water till it foams, drain. Sauté chopped onion in a pot with oil. Add meat and spices, sauté 2 more minutes. Add tomato sauce and sauce two min. ( helps with the color)Add 4 cups of water and bring to a boil. When the meat is almost cooked add the quince, prunes and dried herbs (if using).add pomegranate syrup to taste
