Magical small batch carrot hummus

I had carrot hummus in Hi gham, MA, for the first time and adored it. It's good on everything and so satisfying. I tried a bunch of recipes and created this one to fit in my tiny food processor. Since I'm sensitive to garlic, this no garlic hummus is mighty fine!

Instructions
Step 1
1. Peel carrots and steam for 35 minutes or until very soft. Or roast them 40 minutes at 400 degrees until very soft (drizzled with olive oil and toss before roasting)
Step 2
Cool the carrots a bit and mash them. Measure out 1/2 cup of pulp.
Step 3
Add everything but the water to a food processor and blend until smooth. Add a little water at a time until you get the consistency you like. That's it!
