Instructions

Toast oats in large pan

Add water to oats & bring to a boil

Reduce heat to a simmer
Step 4
Add carrots, raisins, cinnamon, ginger, & nutmeg. Simmer for 30 minutes stirring occasionally to make sure it doesn't stick. Add more water if needed. Check texture of the oats after 30 minutes, they should be chewy but soft.
Step 5
Add ground flaxseed & stir
Step 6
Remove from heat. Add orange juice & zest
Step 7
Add vanilla
