Step 1
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Step 2
Add tofu cubes and pan-fry until golden on all sides (about 5-7 minutes).
Step 3
Lower the heat and add dashi, soy sauce, mirin and sugar
Step 4
Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tofu absorbs the sauce and turns glossy.
