Instructions
Step 1
Soak garbanzo beans in water for 12-24 hours
Step 2
Boil garbanzo beans, onion and baking soda for 1.5-2 hours When filling the pot, water should cover the beans by 3-4 inches Do NOT dice up onion
Step 3
Take garbanzo beans out of water and briefly rinse.
Onion can be discarded.
Step 4
Blend boiled beans using food processor or immersion blender, gradually adding tahini, salt, lemon juice(and if desired, water). Final product should be smooth and up to each persons individual taste.
