Instructions

Step 1
Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

Combine egg, milk, and oil. Add to dry ingredients, stirring until blended but still slightly lumpy.

Melt butter a on a griddle or heavy skillet over medium heat. Pour 1/4 cup of batter for a standard pancake, or 1 tablespoon for dollar pancakes. Cook until golden brown, turning to cook other side when pancakes have a bubbly surface and slightly dry edges.
