Instructions

Step 1
Combine the rolled oats, almond milk, and chia seeds in a medium saucepan. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
Step 2
Put the pan on medium-low heat and slowly add the ingredients, turning now and then to keep the food from sticking.
Step 3
Upon reaching a boil, reduce the heat and continue cooking, stirring often, for 5 to 7 minutes, until the oats become tender and the porridge thickens.
Step 4
If desired, add maple syrup and cinnamon during the last minute of cooking for added sweetness and flavor.
Step 5
After removing from heat, let the saucepan remain for one minute to thicken even more.
Step 6
Divide the porridge into two bowls and top each serving with 2 tablespoons of almond butter.
Step 7
For more taste and nutrients, top with fresh fruit.
