Protein Shake to Go

3 steps
Prep:5min
This is my go to for when I'm traveling. I just mix together protein powder, sweetener, and flavoring in a Ziploc bag, and then all I need is water. This is especially good for flights, where I take an empty shaker bottle through security, dump in the powder, and fill up water at the water fountain. What a great way to get clean protein on the go without spending an arm and a leg for a protein bar filled with junk ingredients.

Step 3
Pea protein is currently my protein powder of choice, but whey will work too. I'm using unflavored protein powder with added cocoa powder, cinnamon, and monk fruit, but any flavor of protein powder (like vanilla or chocolate) will work in place of the unflavored. With a flavored protein powder, you can omit the cocoa, cinnamon, and sweetener. You can't use casein, as it will absorb too much liquid. Milk powder is used to make up for the lack of milk, as without it, the shake would taste much too watery.
