Instructions

Step 1
Dice the onion and carrots. Add the butter and a little of the salt into a pan with the onion and carrots. Lightly caramelize the onions and carrots.
Step 2
Add the spice and toast them with the onion and carrots for a minute or so; just to release the flavors.
Step 3
Add the lentils and toast for a couple of minutes.
Step 4
Add the chicken stock and bring to a boil.
Step 5
Cover and simmer for about 20 minute until the chicken stock is gone.
