Halibut Fish Taco with Sauce and Slaw

Ingredients

16tortillas
small, corn or flour
2 poundshalibut fillets
or ground, Here in Sitka I can get it ground
½ tspBlack Pepper
coarse
½ tspcayenne pepper
½ tspsmoked paprika
1 tspsea salt
½ tspcumin
ground
1 Tbspolive oil
3 Tbspbutter
Sauce
⅓ cupmayo
½ cupsour cream
1 Tbspsriracha
2 Tbsplime juice
from fresh lime
1 tspgarlic powder
1 tspsmoke paprika
1 tspcajun spice
Slaw mixture
Instructions
Step 1
Baking sheet lined with parchment.
Step 2
Lightly drizzle fish with olive oil
Step 3
In a small bowl, combine seasonings: cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper and smoked paprika and evenly sprinkle seasoning mix over both sides of halibut.
Step 4
Place halibut onto baking sheet.
Step 5
Cut butter into small squares and placed across the top of the fillets.
Step 6
Bake at 375 for 20-25 min.
Step 7
Broil for 2-4 minutes to brown.
Step 8
Combine all Taco sauce ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk until well blended.
Step 9
Combine all Slaw ingredients in a medium bowl until mixed.
Step 10
Toast the corn tortillas on a large dry skillet or griddle over medium/high heat.
Step 11
To build the taco start with pieces of fish then add sauce then slaw. If you would like you can add a generous sprinkle of cotija cheese. Serve with a fresh lime wedge.
